| Mountains of Rain and Sun | 16 x 12
An original acrylic painting from The Scottish Collection by Stephanie Kurtyka.
The expanse of the Scottish highlands allows for an intimate experience with the senses and a quieting of the mind. Centering on the subtle variations of color, listening to the quiet rustle of the heather, breathing in the soft perfume of the mist covered moors.
Painting inspired by my trips to Scotland. Named from the song, “The Skye Boat Song” by Bear McCreary:
“Sing me a song of a lass that is gone
Say, could that lass be I?
Merry of soul, she sailed on a day
Over the sea to Skye.
Billow and breeze, islands and seas
Mountains of rain and sun
All that was good, all that was fair
All that was me is gone”
Mountains of Rain and Sun
Acrylic with metallic copper and bronze acrylic highlights on canvas, 16” x 12” x .5”
Signed, shipped wired and ready to hang, image wraps around all edges.
* Artist retains all rights to artwork for reproduction
