| Of A Lass That Is Gone | 16 x 12
Original acrylic painting by Stephanie Kurtyka. As night enfolds the Scottish highlands, a mesmerizing transformation sweeps over the rugged landscape. The damp mist weaves its way through the ancient terrain. A sense of solemnity permeates the air, casting a mystical spell that beckons the intrepid voyager to venture deeper into the heart of the moors.
Painting inspired by my trips to Scotland. Named from the song, “The Skye Boat Song” by Bear McCreary:
“Sing me a song of a lass that is gone
Say, could that lass be I?
Merry of soul, she sailed on a day
Over the sea to Skye.
Billow and breeze, islands and seas
Mountains of rain and sun
All that was good, all that was fair
All that was me is gone”
Of A Lass That Is Gone
